Report: Hawks Expected To Try And Land Seth Jones.

It's the same old story every year in Columbus it seems, another summer another big name player likely to leave town. This time it's franchise defenseman Seth Jones. Jones has one more year left on his deal before he becomes UFA and NHL insider Elliotte Friedman reported this weekend that Jones has already informed the team he won't re-sign and will head to free agency. The Blue Jackets won't want to let Jones walk to free agency like they did Artemi Panarin and Sergei Bobrovsky so it's more than likely we see a Jones trade this summer. Where could he be headed?According to Blue Jackets insider Aaron Portzline, Jones will have three major suitors. The Los Angeles Kings, Montreal Canadiens and Chicago Blackhawks are the team's expected to make the strongest push to land Jones.Like the Kings and Canadiens, the Blackhawks have a pretty nice stockpile of draft picks and young players to package for Columbus.
