The New York Rangers made a major transaction today, as they have traded for the Vancouver Canucks J.T. Miller.

The New York Rangers will be welcoming J.T. Miller back into the fold, as NHL Insider Frank Seravalli has broken the news of a trade.
While the pieces going back haven't been confirmed, Miller has finally ended the turmoil in Vancouver as he's headed back to New York, thanks to GM Chris Drury.
The news of a rift in the Canucks locker room led to Miller requesting a trade from the Canucks, only 8 days ago according to The Hockey News.
«The Canucks seems to have reached a point where they are ready to move on from Miller. Likewise, Miller seems to have reached a point where he is ready to move on from the Canucks,» Seravalli wrote.

Miller and Elias Pettersson were never able to figure out how to resolve the internal strife which has seen a downfall in the play of the team this season.
What was once considered a playoff contender under Rick Tocchet, will now be without former 100+ player J.T. Miller.
The Rangers have sent Filip Chytil, Victor Mancini, and a protected first-round pick in return for J.T. Miller.
Miller has 5 years left on a deal he signed with GM Patrik Allvin in 2023.
The former Canucks center was a New York Rangers 15th overall pick in the 1st round of the 2011 NHL Draft.
No word on where he'll slot in, but given how the Rangers have underperformed this season, we could see Vinnie Trocheck, or Mika Zibanejad pushed down in the lineup.
He could be the 1st-line center the Rangers fans have been clamoring for, and will make them a threat in the Metropolitan Division.
In 40 games with the Vancouver Canucks this season, he's scored 35 points ( 9 G, 26 A) and was a fixture on the team's top six from 2019 to 2025.
The Rangers will be deeper down the middle with him in the lineup, and could shoot up the rankings in the Metropolitan Division.
He has waived his no-trade clause to return home to Madison Square Garden.
