Elliotte Friedman confirms a trade involving a former 6th overall NHL draft pick
According to a report from Sportsnet's NHL insider Elliotte Friedman on Tuesday afternoon, the Nashville Predators are trading center Cody Glass to the Pittsburgh Penguins.
The details of what the Penguins will send in return are still unclear.
Glass joined Nashville from the Vegas Golden Knights in 2021 and has one year left on his two-year, $5 million contract.
His top performance was in the 2022-23 season, scoring 14 goals and 21 assists in 72 games.
However, injuries slowed him down this past season, and he only scored 13 points in 41 games.
This trade frees up $2.5 million in salary cap space for Nashville, which has recently signed several players including Steven Stamkos and Jonathan Marchessault.
