NHL suspends McDavid, Myers for cross checks in Oilers vs Canucks heated matchup

Connor McDavid's the best player in the world. If the refs aren't going to stop this from happening I'm fine with how 97 reacted.

100% fine with it.

Fans believed Myers deserved double of McDavid's three-game suspension for his actions, have a look:

With the heated Western conference rivalry going overboard between the two teams on Saturday night, the NHL is clearly sending a message for both teams to pump the breaks on these kinds of plays.

Ironically, the Oilers and Canucks face off once again on January 23rd, in three days time, which both Myers and McDavid will be absent for.

It's clear the NHL is avoiding more controversy and havoc in their next matchup, by simply removing both players from it.
