Leon Draisaitl makes social media post that confirms it all midst of trade talks
Draisaitl confirms it all with social media post amidst trade rumors
The hottest topic of this NHL off-season has been Leon Draisaitl and the Edmonton Oilers, will they be on the same page moving forward- or will Draisaitl opt to look for a home elsewhere, in search for his first Stanley Cup after many failed tries.
The Oilers themselves are left with a large decision following a heartbreak in the Stanley Cup finals, losing to the Florida Panthers.
Leon Draisaitl is set to be a NHL free agent in just one years time and is due for a large pay raise- which many believe will be the largest deal in NHL history. That has led many to believe that the Oilers with their tight-capped roster may not be able to provide Draisaitl with a fair contract, and they may go their seperate ways in the summer of 2025.
Now, Draisaitl puts the nail in the coffin to those rumors with a statement posted on social media, weeks after being eliminated.
"A bitter end to a tremendous season. I am confident the growth our group experienced will propel us to the top. Thank you #OilCountry for your unwavering support all season long."
Draisaitl's statement confirms he is 'loyal to the oil', stating he is confident with their group and their ability to go to the top moving forward.
