It was revealed recently that Blackhawks superstar Connor Bedard had signed a new sponsorship contract that drew attention for NHL commissioner Gary Bettman.

Last season, the NHL lost one of their primary sponsors in Gatorade as they decided to move on which prompted the league to look for a new drink that would be used on all benches. This loss had several suitors trying to fill the gap to which Bodyarmor became the new partnership for the NHL.

But on July 16th dailyfaceoff.com revealed that Gatorade reached out and made a deal with Connor Bedard who will become the new face of their company.

This past season has been an interesting year for Bedard having been put on tour early on with multiple teams, to a scandal with former Blackhawks forward Corey Perry to breaking his jaw and then winning the Calder trophy. Now he has this new deal which he also now shares with his hockey idol Sidney Crosby.

Coupled with making millions of dollars it's safe to say that he is having the time of his life. As for Bettman, it's likely he is angry and not pleased with what has just happened as he was unable to keep Gatorade in the league.
