Linesman Injured and Player Ejected All on the Same Play
In the Canadiens 7-2 loss to the Panthers last night, some tempers flared late in the game.
Kirby Dach and Radko Gudas were exchanging some words and slashes with each other when Joel Edmundson came in and delivered a cross check to the back of Gudas.
After Gudas went down some players went after Edmundson, rightfully so. The linesman attempted to intervene and calm the situation, but he just ended up getting hurt from a stick wedged between his legs.
Edmundson was ejected from the game, as he should be. Unfortunately for the linesman, he left the game and was unable to return as it seemed like he was in some serious pain.
