Blackhawks Kyle Davidson's recent move shocks fans and suggested he has shown that he is deserving of his spot in Chicago.

Many reporters and fans were left struck by the Chicago Blackhawk's general manager's recent blockbuster move, which saw Seth Jones being traded to the Panthers for Spencer Knight and a 1st-round pick.
This was surprising as Davidson has accumulated years of experience, but has not made any significant progress for the team, leaving many to believe he isn't right for the spot.

Kyle Davidson may have just proved he has what it takes to withstand this organization

Davidson has been the face of the organization for quite sometime now, with being named Interim General Manager on October 26, 2021, this year makes his 4th year in his role since replacing Stan Bowman.
Prior to being named GM, the 33-year old began his career with the Blackhawks organization in 2010, as a salary cap manager, making him a veteran to this NHL team with 15 years of experience.
However, the Chicago Blackhawks have been less than competition for majority of NHL organizations, leaving many fans to believe the team is in dire need to replace their general manager with someone more competent.
But it seems as though Kyle Davidson has saved his career by his intense efforts to prove Chicago and himself have what it takes to be successful.
A fan suggested in a recent X post, that Davidson may have just saved himself with this impeccable trade.
«Not only did Davidson rid himself of a player who doesn't see the winning path; he brought in a player who is vocal about being part of the solution to bringing back winning hockey. Quite the contrast. I know which player I would want.»
Many have already begun to see that Spencer Knight, the goaltender retained during the trade, may give Chicago the opportunity to become competitors and is already fitting in quite well.
Although the Chicago Blackhawks' future is not determined, it now looks much brighter for this NHL basement team.
