There are rumours lingering that Davidson isn't quite done dealing just yet, after trading away one of the team's top defenseman, Seth Jones, there are rumours circulating that this general manager is looking to trade his leading goal scorer.
Kevin Weekes reveals the Blackhawks aren't done making deals
NHL insider, Kevin Weekes, reported today that many organizations have inquired about Ryan Donato.
''In speaking to sources, there's plenty of clubs checking in on @NHLBlackhawks pending UFA F Donato. They like his versatility, compete level and price. His 18 even strength goals are more than 3 big name team captains.''
Although Ryan Donato is in the midst of his career, NHL.com reveals that this 28-year old currently sits at 21 goals, 22 assists, and 43 points in 58 games thus far this season.
Despite the intriguing numbers, Kyle Davidson has yet to confirm an extension and by the looks of it, the Chicago Blackhawks may be hungry for more opportunities like the one they just received with Jones.
Although there has been no confirmed decision just yet of where Donato will go, we can expect an exciting trade deadline this season.
No matter where Ryan Donato's future lies, with the rate of this rebuild, the Chicago Blackhawks might just have a decent shot at making their efforts this season portray into the 2025/26 NHL season.
