The Blackhawks have a diamond in the rough, with 2023 third-round draft pick Nick Lardis, he just set a single-season record in the OHL last night.

The Blackhawks 2023 draft class was special. The draft class included Connor Bedard, Oliver Moore, and Roman Kantserov.
But one prospect who seems to be undersung at the moment is Nick Lardis who is a part of the Brantford Bulldogs in the OHL, Lardis was selected 67th overall in the third round of the 2023 NHL Entry Draft by GM Kyle Davidson.
The draft replenished a depleted prospect pool, which has gained significant coverage as one of the best in the league.
Lardis has played with the Bulldogs since 2022, when they still resided in Hamilton.
However, unlike those past two seasons, this year he's set a single-season record for the team.
This year, he's scored a total of 52 goals and 86 points in the OHL.
With that goal, he not only secured a point against the Windsor Spitfires on Saturday, but he broke Arthur Kaliyev's record for goals scored, set in 2019.
Lardis is a real diamond in the rough for the Blackhawks, as his game is still developing in the OHL.
With his latest record, he joins the likes of John Tavares (44 GP) and Blackhawks legend Patrick Kane (47 GP) as players in the OHL who have scored 50 goals in less than 50 games.
Great company to be in, especially if you're a Blackhawks prospect.
His snub from Team Canada at the last IIHF WJC is looking ridiculous right now for the forward.
