The Chicago Blackhawks have announced that they've sent forward Joey Anderson down to the American Hockey League's (AHL) Rockford IceHogs.
Anderson, 26, has suited up for eighteen games this season with the Blackhawks, tallying only one point in those games. Now, he finds himself on the outside once again, in the American Hockey League.
This comes with a big bang, a spark, something that Blackhawks fans have been calling for... where's the youth? Why are our young players being buried in the AHL when aging veterans soak up quality NHL minutes?
Well, it seems as though the Chicago Blackhawks have taken note of the backlash received, and have called up a goal scorer of the AHL organization, the Rockford IceHogs.
The Blackhawks have officially called up forward Colton Dach, according to a press release from the organization.
Sadly for Dach, he has been fined before playing in his first NHL shift, details below:

Dach is 21 years of age and has never been given a clear shot in the big leagues until now, he has played 30 games for the Rockford IceHogs this season, posting career-high numbers with 25 points including 12 goals.
The Blackhawks are home at the United Center Friday and puck drop is set for 7:00 p.m CT against the Montreal Canadiens. For info on how to watch, visit Blackhawks how to watch
