But that's because it's a rebuild, and things move very quickly. People are in and out very fast. People are traded, signed, released, and sent down.
Luke Richardson is still trying to figure out what works, but is not solving much. He has forward Lukas Reichel and defenseman Nolan Allan on the bench, even though they're young and could be sent down to Rockford to work on his craft. However, he has found one line that works, and it's Connor Bedard and Teuvo Teravainen.
It took them a little bit to click. But now they're clicking. They're firing on all cylinders. And it shows out on the ice, as whenever the two of them are out on the ice together, it is must watch TV.
This is what Connor had to say on Teuvo:
On Saturday night against Edmonton, they had a phenomenal play. Bedard was going in on the rush against Evan Bouchard. Bedard then found himself down on the ice, but didn't give up on the play. He swept the puck across with his stick while he was down. Teravainen was right there, but he shot it off the post. Even though he shot it off the post, that shows you the connection they have.
Bedard and Teravainen both have five points each through three games. Bedard scored his first goal against the Edmonton Oilers on Saturday night. Teravainen has three of them. Teravainen has a +1, and Bedard has a +2. The Blackhawks actually have a + line.
