Blackhawks Organization Trims the Roster Again By 10 Players

The Chicago Blackhawks have made a major roster move today, as they have sent many released players from the PTOs and sent others to the ECHL.

The following players were released from their AHL Tryout:
RW Brett Bulmer
D Chris Cameron
G Peyton Jones
C Ethan Manderville
D Luc Salem
C Brandon Saigeon
D Jaden Shields

While the Icehogs have released these players to join the Indy Fuel in the ECHL, as they're not AHL-ready just yet.

The following players were assigned to Rockford's ECHL affiliate Indy Fuel:
C Ryan Gagnier
RW Kevin Lombardi
C Kyle Maksimovich
D Adam McCormick

AHL training camp for the Rockford IceHogs began on September 29th, and the team's opening night will be on October 12th against the Grand Rapids Griffins at 7 PM.

Opening Night - Saturday, Oct. 12
The IceHogs take on the Grand Rapids Griffins at 7 p.m. to kick off the 2024-25 season on Saturday, Oct. 12. Come early for the block party starting at 4 p.m. featuring the Trippin' Billies and see our reigning MVP, fan favorites and more take the BMO Center ice for the first time this season.

Last year in 2023-2024 the Rockford IceHogs played 72 regular season games in the AHL, with a record of 39-26-7, with a 3rd place finish, and a semifinal loss in their division.

They added Arvid Soderblom to the roster again this season, as he gets more playing time in the AHL, in the hopes of once again joining the Blackhawks lineup this year or next.
