Chicago Blackhawks forward Connor Bedard gets honest about his new line-mates
Connor Bedard makes a statement to Chicago's interim coach, Andre's Sorensen, on how he feels alongside Tyler Bertuzzi and Frank Nazar.
The Chicago Blackhawks snapped their four-game losing streak this past Saturday against NHL contenders, Vegas Golden Knights, earning a statement victory with a score of 5-3.
The first line featured Connor Bedard, Tyler Bertuzzi and Frank Nazar, and let's just say the Hawks' adjustments created an unforeseen dynamic trio.
After the game, Bedard issued an honest statement to interim coach, Anders Sorensen about finding chemistry with his new linemates.
«It's good. I've been with [Bertuzzi] for a while, a good stretch of games, you start to figure out what each other likes to do. We're building that every game,»
«Frank [Nazar] has been great to us, last two games he's brought a lot to our line, and he's really fun to play with. So, I'm excited to just keep building that chemistry, and getting to know their games more.»
Throughout the 2024-25 season thus far, the Blackhawks have struggled to maintain a line combination for more than a few games at a time. However, the team has evidently improved their performance following this first-line trio.
As of now, we can expect the organization to stop consistently rotating players and let this line play out for the duration of the season.
Now, it is just a matter of adjusting the rest of the lines, finding chemistry between players and determine how the team can become better competitors.
In the meantime, Bedard can now flourish and continue his development with players of his caliber.
Not only will he excel with linemates he has found chemistry with, this will also offer the Chicago Blackhawks an opportunity to get out of the bottom of the NHL standings.
