Chicago Blackhawks Kyle Davidson sends a warning to several players
Blackhawks general manager Kyle Davidson spoke to media regarding the draft and free agency and what he expects from players in the upcoming season.
He made a very strong statement that no matter where players sit in terms of being a veteran, rookie or young players in their career that the team needs to move forward and take the next step as the Blackhawks come out of its rebuilding phase.
There have been indications that Davidson is prepared to take the team to the next level as he had signed nine unrestricted free agents to the Blackhawks especially in key areas like scoring, goaltending and shoring up his defense.
With a lull in recent weeks, the Blackhawks still hold $6.67 million in cap space which could give Davidson another chance to look at any bargain gems that are available who could use a change of scenery.
Even though the team is coming out of a rebuild, the Blackhawks still hold enormous draft capital which could help the team in trades and drafting next season as the team continues to add more players to the organization.
It will remain to be seen on how the Blackhawks will do but it appears they are ready for their next chapter in the
Connor Bedard era.
