The Chicago Blackhawks are currently sitting last place in the league with a record of 12-21-2 and 26 points. However, there's a light at the end of the tunnel in this rebuild, and that all starts tomorrow with the World Junior Championship, as there's two Hawk prospects to look for.

The first prospect is Oliver Moore. He was picked to be on Team USA. Moore is a highly touted prospect and was selected with the 19th pick in the 2023 draft.

Moore is currently playing at the University of Minnesota and has been tearing it up with five goals and 12 assists, adding up to 17 points in 20 games on the NCAA season so far.

Oliver had 33 points in 39 games at Minnesota his draft year in 2023, and he's currently on pace to up that from last year.

Chicago is counting on him to be a solid second-line center, third-line center, or a second-line winger. It's tough because the Hawks are lined up with Connor Bedard, Frank Nazar, and Moore.

Even Lukas Reichel threw his name in the mix after the past month or two he's had.

Hopefully, Moore has a good showing and proves even more why he was worth a first-round selection.

Last but not least, the second prospect is Jiri Felcman, who was chosen to be on Team Czechia. Felcman is 19, the same age as Moore, and was selected by the Blackhawks two rounds after Oliver with the 93rd pick in the third round.

Felcman plays in the Swedish National League right now for the SLC Tigers. Felcman has seven assists in 26 games so far with the Tigers.

Felcman is a center as well, and unfortunately for him, with how much center competition there is, if he doesn't improve drastically, he'll have no chance of getting a center role.

Felcman could be a solid role player to have in the future, though, and he'll shine with Team Czechia, as they're always a dark horse contender every year.

Good luck to both!
