Connor Bedard has recently been under scrutiny by NHL analysts and former players, Mark Messier and Paul Bissonnette, on their well-known broadcasting channel 'NHL on TNT'.

The panel, which includes NHL legend Wayne Gretzky, has been analyzing Connor Bedard's game a ton as of late and have called out the 19-year old forward during recent broadcasts.
Mark Messier's message to the Blackhawks and Bedard
Mark Messier shredded Bedard's game and head coach Anders Sorensen's discipline towards for the former first overall pick.
«There's no quicker way to destroy the morale of a team than to have players who don't earn their ice time. This is a choice, and this is a consequence for a young player there. He's (Bedard's) right on Reinhart. This is a 50-50 battle. He's soft on his stick, and I'm sorry, the excuses for a young player are over now. He has to be better than that, and sure enough, they get a power play and who goes right onto the ice, Bedard."

Just a few nights later, after Messier's comments went trending on social media, fellow panel host Paul Bissonnette decided to poke fun at the 19-year old.
Stating that Bedard appeared to be playing 'Pond Hockey' and isn't ready to perform at an NHL level, have a look.

Just under 24 hours later, Bedard snapped back at the comments made by six-time Stanley Cup Champion Mark Messier, and career-long fourth line forward Paul Bissonnette, and it's fierce.
«I'm not watching broadcasts or anything. I'm playing hockey. Their job is to say what they see. I couldn't really care less, to be honest, what people on the outside think of me or us. But of course I'm not going to be butthurt if someone says I make a bad play or whatever. I don't care. It's their job to say what they feel and I'm not going to take anything personally.

Hey man, I know if I messed up a play. Like I said, it's their job to point that out or to say how they feel about something. But if I make a mistake, I know. I don't need to watch a TNT broadcast to figure out if I made a mistake. I'm going to know."

By the look of Bedard's body language during the interview, he truly seems to not show any care towards Paul Bissonnette and Mark Messier's comments recently made.
At 19-years of age, Bedard is handling criticism like a champ, and is almost PR trained like a veteran.
