The Detroit Red Wings have been missing Patrick Kane, as he's missed three games due to an upper-body injury. Kane missed the Red Wings game against the New York Islanders on November 25th, as he was announced "day to day" by Derek Lalonde.

"Patrick Kane and Ras took the maintenance days yesterday, and Patty'll need another day, probably a day-to-day situation, so he'll be out, so Joe Veleno'll be back in," Lalonde told reporters this morning. We wanted to get Joe back in anyways. This obviously makes it reasonable."

However, the Golden Goose for the Detroit Red Wings has returned to the lineup today, as he was seen practicing with the team by journalist Helene St. James.

Kane has only been healthy enough to play 20 games this season for the Red Wings scoring 10 points( 3 G, 7 A) with a -6.

When Patrick Kane arrived in 2023-2024, he was a fixture in the Red Wings top-six and found chemistry with former Blackhawks teammate Alex DeBrincat.

Now, this season it seems he's had trouble replicating his 47-points season, as he's only put up ten so far.

Though it goes without being said, being healthy is half the battle, and while he didn't miss a significant amount of time, three games means missing three chances to push the Wings forward.

The Red Wings are currently 6th in the Atlantic Division under Head Coach Derek Lalonde, with a troubling -12 goal differential.

They have a 10-11-1 record and are desperate for help which Kane who may not be in his prime, could provide.

It is great to see Patrick Kane healthy and skating on the ice, but can he find his game, and produce wherever he's placed in the lineup?

The DeBrincat-Larkin-Kane lane is one of the Red Wings' best lines, as they have been on the ice for 3 goals for, and only 1 against according to MoneyPuck.

If Lalonde likes winning he'd reunite this line,
