The Chicago Blackhawks are in desperate need to maximize their trade returns they make this season.

Fans are enraged at the Hawks' performance this far into the year, as they continue to be far from competition for the NHL.
With very limited possibility of the Blackhawks making it to the playoffs, Chicago is in dire need to focus on selling their assets and preparing for their future.
Two probable trade candidates this year are Taylor Hall and Ryan Donato. Both of these players are estimated to fetch around a third-round pick at trade deadline.
This is discouraging for Chicago, it is evident that the team is a clear seller. They've been in the rebuilding process for a while now and are currently sitting in the NHL basement.
However, third-rounders sometimes bring more to the table than credited. While they are not guaranteed success, the Blackhawks have previously found value in the past few years with players like Wyatt Kaiser and Nick Lardis.
Although this trade may be extremely valuable to the Blackhawks, they have to be thoughtful and quick throughout their decision-making, as acquiring teams tend to gain more integrate players.
Delaying any beneficial trade can be extremely detrimental to the team, their timing is crucial as they need a successful player. Waiting until the last minute on the trade deadline can result in receiving a worse return than their basement team can afford.
Taylor Hall is almost certain to be traded, and during a recent interview, it seems as though he is already expecting it.
Ryan Donato's future is uncertain, the Blackhawks could still benefit from keeping him on their team. The 28-year-old seems to fit the Hawk's timeline, and extension talks would be a smart move for the team if a trade doesn't materialize.
It is critical Chicago ensures their moves will strengthen and rebuild their team who was once known as the most competitive in the league. Whether that is determines through trading or retaining key players.
