Insider Reveals Potential Rigging Downside to St. Louis Blues Entering Wrigley Field at 2025 Winter Classic
Sportsnet Insider and 32 Thoughts podcaster Elliotte Friedman tweet it out a photo showing a brutal setup for the St Louis Blues who will have to walk up several flights upstairs to get to ice level.
In the picture it shows that the Blues players will face a long steady walk up from their dressing room to ice level which will be right on Wrigley Field itself.
This layout obviously is since this is a baseball stadium and not a hockey arena.
But many are looking forward to this game including the Blackhawks, the city of Chicago and the NHL as the winter classic has returned to Chicago after 16 years when it was at Wrigley Field in 2009.
This game will feature the next generation of Blackhawks to take the team back to the playoffs which may be several years off as this season has not gone according to plan and what Kyle Davidson had envisioned.
He was hoping that his team would take the next step in their rebuilding phase and begin to climb out of the basement of the standings and start to show some real promise.
This has not happened as several of their players they had acquired in free agency have not panned out.
No matter the case, this game will be a showcase for the NHL as they continue to grow the league through different types of games including overseas known as the global series, the winter classic along with the All Star game and the Stanley Cup finals.
The crowds are expected to be full and there will be a full days worth of hockey festivities to go on in and around the stadium including a festival that will be free to attend.
The game will take place on December 31st and game time will be at 5:00 PM eastern.
