The Chicago Blackhawks acquired winger Taylor Hall from the Boston Bruins last off-season to be linemates with first overall pick and upcoming superstar Connor Bedard.

However, Hall tore his ACL in his right knee in November that required surgery, so his season stopped right there.

Hall did an interview with Chicago Sun-Times Ben Pope, and said that he's expecting to be cleared by the medical team before training camp and pre-season, since he completed all his post surgery rehab.

«I'm trying to take some rest breaks here and there because I've been working out and rehabbing for eight months now. You want to plateau - you want to be at your best - when training camp starts, and you don't want to be fatigued from working out all summer. I'm playing around with that. But, in general, it feels like a normal offseason for me.»

Hall hasn't participated in any full-contact drills yet, though.

The injury may have hurt Taylor a lot more than just missing last season. Kyle Davidson brought in two wingers, Tyler Bertuzzi and Teuvo Teravainen over the summer, meaning that his top six spot isn't guaranteed. He'll have to fight for a top six spot now and prove that he can still go.
