Connor Bedard after his first year became the face of the Chicago Blackhawks. Well, today, he turned 19.
While he was 18 years old, he won the Calder Cup Trophy, became an NHL Superstar, and was the youngest athlete in the All Star game, although he didn't skate because of his injury.
The NHL Network X account made a post showing all of his 22 goals this year.
Sidney Crosby, Bedard's idol, had 102 points in his rookie year at just 18, while Bedard only had 61. However, Bedard would've had a lot more if he hadn't missed six weeks due to a broken jaw.
This one thing is overlooked, though. Patrick Kane came into the league when he was 19 years and old. Connor is already a year ahead of Kane, which really boosts his development even more.
Bedard is due for a big contract extension in two years.
Happy Birthday, Connor!
