Outrage as Parent Brutally Assaults Young Referees at Hockey Game in Kirkland Washington

A recent assault incident took place at a U12 recreational league hockey game in Kirkland, Washington, which is now going viral across the web- for the right reasons, to expose the adult who was the assaulter.
A game between the Seattle Sno-Kings was in the spotlight after a shocking incident occurred during the weekend.
A video that made the rounds on social media showed a frustrated parent entering the ice and accusing, while confronting two young referees.
The video, which was thankfully recorded, captures the moment the adult parent shoves both officials to the ice, these referees were not your typical older minor hockey refs, these were two young referees who were just 13 and 14 years old.

Below is a recording from the incident, which has caused outrage on social media- and rightfully so.
This is a parent coming onto the ice and pushing a 13 and 14-year-old referee down to the ice during a rec-league game in Washington. These incidents are becoming more and more the norm. We need to be better. It's about the kids.
The Sno-Kings organization responded to the incident by publishing a statement regarding the parent's actions:
"We at Sno-King, along with our state association and all of its members, stand with our on-ice officials and off-ice volunteers. There is no room for behavior like this and it will not be tolerated,"
These young referees are at the starting of their refereeing careers and will sadly now think twice about moving forward in their reffing careers.
While the hockey community is furious at this unfortunate event, it is important to remember that little ones, whether it may be on-ice officials, players or even a timekeeper, are shaping the future of the game we all love.
