The Chicago Blackhawks could make moves at the trade deadline to improve the team, they could look to their rivals and acquire Brayden Schenn.

According to NHL Insider Darren Dreger, the Blues are working the market to see who'd be interested in acquiring Schenn, a recent signee of a $52M deal.
Schenn at the moment has a full no-movement clause (NMC). In the meantime, the Blues could work the market to find the best offer for a player who helped the Blues win a Stanley Cup.
With the Blackhawks potentially walking away or trading some of their veteran talent will need to look at the market and see who could bolster the lineup.
That could be Brayden Schenn, who was named captain of the Blues in 2023. He's never afraid to drop the gloves for his teammates and fought Nick Foligno during the Winter Classic.
If GM Kyle Davidson and Doug Armstrong can find a way to convince him to waive his NMC, he could arrive in Chicago as a protector for Bedard and a goal-scoring option.
Discussing the idea of trades always has us focused on the issue of cost. Acquiring Schenn would be manageable for the Hawks, as he makes $6.5 million AAV.
He's been a reliable producer for the St. Louis Blues, as in the last three seasons, he's always produced at least 40 points.
The 30-year-old has recorded eight 20-goal seasons and is logging on average 17 minutes a night.
He'd bring physicality to the Blackhawks who are missing muscle in the lineup, aside from Pat Maroon and Nick Foligno.
Throughout his 16-year NHL career, he's averaged 167 hits a season. A statistic that isn't on par with the Canucks' Keifer Sherwood, but enough to instill fear on the ice and force errors nightly.
The Blackhawks would be smart to look for their rivals for talent who could significantly improve their ranks.
Brayden Schenn would be one player who'd do so.
