With the NHL trade deadline approaching soon, excitement is building over potential major trades. Elliotte Friedman from Sportsnet has sparked rumors with his insights on unexpected buyer teams as the March 7 deadline nears.

Friedman recently discussed on his show how teams like the Philadelphia Flyers, Utah Hockey Club, and Winnipeg Jets are in the market for new talent.
However, the most surprising news comes from the Buffalo Sabres.
According to Friedman, the Sabres could be making significant moves soon, with their GM Kevyn Adams reportedly seeking offers for star player Dylan Cozens, and the Blackhawks are suitors for the former 7th overall pick
Interest in Cozens is high, with several Canadian teams including the Montreal Canadiens, Toronto Maple Leafs, and Calgary Flames, alongside the Detroit Red Wings, showing interest.
Kevin Weekes further reports that these teams are making offers to lure Cozens away from Buffalo.
Meanwhile, the Calgary Flames are already on the move, having recently acquired Morgan Frost and Joel Farabee from the Flyers.

Big named player enters NHL trade block, to the Lightning?

Another player drawing attention is Alex Tuch, who could soon be highly sought after by several teams.
The Sabres are struggling in the league standings, trailing behind the Red Wings for the last playoff spot in the East.
