Ex-Blackhawk Legend Patrick Kane Says Goodbye To The Red Wings
The Detroit Red Wings were unable to make the push to the Stanley Cup playoffs this year. Players promptly clean out of their lockers, engage the media in exit interviews and Patrick Kane followed up the interview with something shocking.
Kane spent the last 50 games of his career with the Detroit Red Wings and posted a significant 47 points(20 G, 27 A) and his time in Detroit was short but memorable.
His latest post on X formerly known as Twitter, has been etched in the minds of many hockey fans everywhere, as he thanks the Detroit Red Wings and said Goodbye to Hockeytown, Detroit.
Only shortly after his hip resurfacing surgery, did it seem like his recovery may never happen. But it did and he found a short-term home in Detroit and enjoyed a renaissance of sorts wearing the Winged Wheel.
NHL Insiders like Elliote Friedman, feel like Kane is looking for a place with term as he feels Kane would like to finish his career in the next place to land.
There's been speculation he would have signed with the Buffalo Sabres, and Toronto Maple Leafs earlier in the season. However, the Chicago Blackhawks name has risen again.
So, it has us all wondering, would Kane settle back into playing in the Windy City again? Or is he set on battling it out for the Stanley Cup for another year? Thus begins another free agency of significance, as Kane will undoubtedly be the brightest on the board.
