and the Chicago Blackhawks' general manager Kyle Davidson begin talking trades, it appears he is on his way out after comments from a recent interview has surfaced to the media

It is no secret to anybody that Seth Jones' time with the Chicago Blackhawks has not gone as planned, for the defenseman and the organization.
Jones is in his fourth season with the Blackhawks, and the third year of his massive eight-year contract which will expire in the year of 2030 - but for the Kyle Davidson and his organization, it appears that they will be able to move Jones and his contract much earlier.
Jones, who is 30 years of age, has began talks with his agent Pat Brisson and the Blackhawks general manager involving a suitable trade which would see him depart from Chicago.
According to Jones himself, the talks have been "back and forth", but the aging defenseman also had a lot more to say.

Jones brings up Blackhawks' bad past

Jones addressed the media involving these trade talks, and decided to bring up the Blackhawks' past - which is not pretty at all (a specific situation).
''We all know the whole story and what happened when I got here,'' Jones said. ''I would like to give myself a chance to win in my career. I know that the money is not an easy thing to move, and that's what we're figuring out."

Jones confirms in the above statement that he will be traded, but the financial aspect is being worked out.
Jones, spoke about the Blackhawks organizations scandal, and also addressed his departure, have a look:
''If it happens, it happens. Obviously, while I'm here with the Blackhawks, they have my full effort [and] full attention to this team to try to get this team better.''

The situation for Jones and the Blackhawks
Jones has an odd contract, which is no surprise as Stan Bowman is infamous for handing those out.
He holds a full no-movement close, meaning he has the power to reject any trade involving him, but he is reportedly working with Kyle Davidson to find a contending team to head to.
The NHL trade deadline will be on March 7, just 14 days away - and it appears that this is Jones' final two weeks as a member of the Blackhawks.
Jones himself notes how tough it is to move "money" [his hefty contract], and will work with Kyle Davidson to make a suitable move for both sides.
Unfortunately for the Blackhawks, they will have to soak some of Jones' contract and retain nearly 50% [$4.75 million] when trading him, as contending teams do not have the space for his $9.25 million cap hit.
At 50% salary retained, Jones is a much more valuable asset; after all, he has not had promising defensive partners or a strong surrounding team to prove his real worth since arriving in Chicago.
"And while the Hawks have to clear space for their elite defensive prospects (Artyom Levshunov, Kevin Korchinski and Sam Rinzel) to graduate into the NHL, they'll need at least one veteran to anchor that group."
Noted Blackhawks reporter Ben Pope
Jones finalized his interview by bringing up the current losing-state of the Blackhawks organization:
''Winning games makes you feel better,'' Jones said. ''It makes the team feel better. It makes your organization feel better. You have fun coming to the rink every day. That's what my goal is for this team, as long as I'm here. It could be two weeks, it could be five more years.''

We all want to win, Seth. Unfortunately it may be a bit of time before the Blackhawks get back on track, and with your $9.25 million annual salary it is limiting the Blackhawks from fully rebuilding.
