3 Players The Blackhawks Could Sign During 2025 NHL Free Agency

The Chicago Blackhawks like all other 32 NHL teams will receive a significant salary cap raise, using this extra cash here are three players who could move the rebuild forward.
The Chicago Blackhawks will have to part ways with multiple veterans if they want to keep promoting the youth movement.
All the while, when they get their fresh slate clean, they need to have targets for the 2025-2026 season.
Those targets should include young talent who won't be re-signed, including RFAs, and UFAs who will add significant firepower to Bedard's top line.
Here are three players the Blackhawks could target soon.
Brock Boeser is an NHL veteran who has had a spectacular record of production in the NHL.
Last season he scored 73 points (40 G, 33 A) with the Vancouver Canucks. As the old blood continues to move out, there's a chance that he could follow Miller soon as according to NHL Insider Darren Dreger he may have priced himself out of town.
' Dreger said.
He went on to add, 'Brock Boeser on the open market is going to command a high dollar. More money I think than the Vancouver Canucks are going to want to spend.'
While the Blackhawks would have to add more money to a tight-cap structure, they could offload their high-end veterans like Bertuzzi, and Teravainen to make room for Boeser.
Kaapo Kakko is a cautionary tale as he like Alexis Lafreniere, and
Quinton Byfield took longer than expected to develop as a forward.
In New York last season he proved himself capable of playing as a solid two-way forward and is hitting strides in Seattle with the Kraken.
Now, this 2019 1st-round pick could be priced out of the deep, and perfect for the Hawks to swoop in and grab.
In 54 games split between the Kraken and the Rangers, he's scored 31 points ( 9 G, 22 A) and has received more responsibility playing under Dan Bylsma than he ever did Peter Laviolette.
He's an RFA, and at age 24 will fit the Blackhawks rebuild perfectly.
This is an ambitious notion, as the Blackhawks have already decided to retain half of his salary.
Since he was upset with how the trade between the Carolina Hurricanes, and Colorado Avalanche went down, maybe GM Kyle Davidson could sell him on Chicago.
Rantanen has already won one Stanley Cup and could provide the kind of leadership that other veterans in the lineup have failed to do so.
Not only that, he could slot in on
Connor Bedard's flank and provide the high-end talent the Blackhawks have been missing for some time.
While the Blackhawks could hold onto him until the end of his contract, it might be best to hold him till Bedard is fully developed and by then trade him for a monstrous package of assets.
This season in 54 games, Rantanen has scored 66 points (26 G, 34 A) and is the one exception that the Blackhawks should spend large on.
