A Scary Scene Emerges For The Chicago Blackhawks' Red Hot Veteran Goal Scorer
During Tuesday's game, Blackhawks forward Colin Blackwell got hurt in the third period and couldn't keep playing.
It happened around 11:24 in the last period when Blackwell got hit by Kevin Fiala along the boards.
He stayed down for a bit and seemed really uncomfortable before heading to the locker room holding his chest. After the game, Coach Luke Richardson said he wasn't sure how Blackwell was doing and hoped to find out more on Wednesday.
"I haven't heard about Blackie yet," said Richardson. "I saw him skate off, which was good. Hopefully, it's nothing serious. He's tough, so I think he'll be back soon."
It's tough luck for Blackwell, who had hernia surgery about a year ago and had to take a long time to get better.
Despite that, he's been an important player for the Blackhawks this season and even got his first NHL hat trick recently.
