Chicago Blackhawks' star prospect suffers significant injury
Chicago Blackhawks prospect Nick Lardis had recently signed an entry level contract with the team, back in April. with a 3-year, $896K cap hit.
But back in April, he was injured in the back in April he also injured his wrist, during a season in which he scored 50 points in 37 games.
As a result of the injury, he won't be able to show up with Team Canada to the World Juniors Summer Showcase, even though he should be in the lineup.

He's up to 23 goals this season, which is now tied for second among all OHL skaters.
Lardis was among league leads in the OHL prior to the injury and would've been another deadly weapon to add to the Team Canada roster.
The 2024 World Junior Summer Showcase, will take place from July 26th to August 3rd and feature teams from Canada, Finland, USA and Sweden and be played in the USA Hockey Arena in Plymouth, Michigan.
