BREAKING: The NHLPA Is Being Sued For $100 Million For Allegedly Scamming Players
The NHL Player Association was once formed dating back to 1957 due to help players setup a pension plan and to make sure the proper compensation is being given to the correct athletes.
The NHL Players Association is now being sued for not reporting proper revenue, which lead to paying players less money- so where did the money go? TSN's Rick Westhead has reported the following:
Former NHLPA consultant Richard Rodier has filed a $100M lawsuit against his former employer, alleging it misused his confidential info to pursue claims that NHL teams underreported revenue, which allowed them to pay players less money.
Richard Rodier, who once worked with Jim Balsillie to try and buy an NHL team, alleges in a new lawsuit that NHLPA officials inappropriately used confidential information he provided to the union.
If this lawsuit turns out in Richard Rodier's favour there will sure be some second guessing from a lot of current, and former players.
