BREAKING: Washington Capitals' Star Player Has Demanded a Trade
The Washington Capitals, coming off a disappointing season with no playoffs, are aiming for significant changes.
Evgeny Kuznetsov, who has already requested a trade, seems to have requested another one. In his article for NHL.com, Mike Vogel reaffirmed Kuznetsov's trade request and the team's stance to this off-season.
Kuznetsov's lackluster offensive performance last season, with only 12 goals and 55 points in 81 games, falls short of his $7.8 million cap hit.
However, with two years left on his contract, a strong offensive bounce-back could attract a valuable trade package early in the season.
The Capitals tried to make trades, including Kuznetsov, during the draft but were unsuccessful.
