The NHL trade deadline has come and gone and I'd say it was a success for the Chicago Blackhawks General Manager Kyle Davidson. Heading into the trade deadline Davidson had one goal to trade away anyone that would get him a draft pick or prospect.

Davidson achieved that making numerous trades. Infact Davidson would of probably traded a family member if it meant a draft pick in his pocket, as he continues his tanking plans to hope to draft hockey phenom Connor Bedard.

However, despite the trade deadline being over Blackhawks Insider Ben Pope revealed a trade that came in just before 3pm but got settled after.

Blackhawks have indeed acquired Austin Wagner from the Kings for future considerations, Davidson says. That was their only trade today. Certainly not their only this week, though.

Wagner, by the way, is coming to the Blackhawks, not Rockford. He's been in the AHL the last two seasons but does have 171 games of NHL experience.

Wagner was a star in Junior hockey ironically was a member of the Regina Pats scoring 30 goals in his final year in the Western Hockey League as was drafted by the Kings in the 4th round 99th overall in the 2015 draft.
