Blackhawks' Defensemen Quickly Making His Presence Be Known With Crushing Hit
With the World Junior Championships set to get started the day after Christmas, Team Canada had a tune-up against Switzerland.
It was Canada's first of three tune-up games before the big tournament, and they did just fine, beating the Swiss 6-0.
It was not much of a game with Canada outshooting the Swiss 42-19 and being up 5-0 after two periods of play.
In their dominant win, Blackhawks' prospect, Nolan Allen, caught some awe from the fans in attendance with this big hit:
Allen was the 32nd pick in the 2021 NHL Draft, by the Blackhawks. According to NBC Sports Chicago, the 19-year old is the Hawks' 5th best prospect this year.
In other news, projected #1 overall pick, Connor Bedard, notched 3 assists in this one. The Blackhawks just seem to keep getting closer and closer to earning that #1 pick, though it is up to the lottery when the time comes.
