For the past couple season's the NHL has been promoting their "Hockey Is For Everyone." To include people of other races and end racism in Hockey. Well the East Coast Hockey League, a Columbus Blue Jackets affiliate is doing something ground breaking to try to include everyone.

The Kalamazoo Wings of the ECHL will faceoff against the Toledo Walleye this Friday night, and the ice will look completely different. The team has announced the interesting idea that we're not sure how it will turn out. The Kalamazoo Wings will
have the pride flag painting on the ice to honor the LGBPQ for "Pride Night."

On Friday, Jan. 13 the K-Wings celebrate Rainbow Ice / Pride Night' versus the Toledo Walleye at 7:00 p.m. at Wings Event Center, presented by Bronson. Kalamazoo is proud to honor the LGBTQ+ community in support of the belief that everyone deserves equal opportunities regardless of race, gender, sexual orientation, age, disability or background. It's also a $3 Friday, presented by Bud Light, so enjoy $3 beers, sodas and hot dogs from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. while enjoying Kalamazoo's only professional sports team. The specialty jerseys worn on this night will also be donned on Hockey is for Her & Hockey is for Everyone Night' on February 4 and will be auctioned off immediately following that game."

The wings will play the Toledo Walleye, we don't know how or if this will work as to me I think it's going to be hard to follow the puck, good luck to the players and especially the Goaltenders.
