Breaking News Regarding Alex DeBrincat
Alex DeBrincat has expressed his desire to be traded to a different team, no longer wishing to play for Pierre Dorion and owner Michael Andlauer in Ottawa.
Although he enjoyed his time playing there, DeBrincat wishes to return to the United States for the upcoming season.
The team has respected his wishes and is currently exploring other options for him to land.
However, since Detroit is no longer in the running, another team will have to make an offer.
It's important to note that DeBrincat is a restricted free agent and is due a qualifying offer of $9 million.
If he is not signed, he will become an unrestricted free agent wherever he lands. It seems that the issue may not just be with Canada, but also with the length of his contract as well.
