RICK DHALIWAL Reported that this Calgary Flames defenseman played through the worst one can imagine. Injuries seeming as if he was beaten up, after taking a huge hit earlier in the series.

Chris Tanev played through a torn labrum, a separated shoulder as well as a sprained neck. Each of these injuries addressed take serious time relaxing to recover but that did not stop the defenseman for sticking through it for his teams last few games of the season.

For reference; recovery time for a broken labrum is 4-6 weeks AT LEAST for the rim of the bone to reattach itself. A separated shoulder will put you in a sling without any movement of the arm as well as rehab on the shoulder anywhere from 2 to 12 weeks.

A neck sprain will also take AT LEAST 4-6 weeks, if severe can take up to 3+ months, this goes to show how tough NHL players are as this is not the first time we have seen a defenseman or skater player through these kinds of things.
