The Chicago Blackhawks were defeated Wednesday night vs the Detroit Red Wings from Little Caesars Arena in the Motor City, in a game that Blackhawks head coach admitted he was "disappointed with the teams effort."
The wings would win the game by a score of 4-3 making it sound closer then it was, but if not for Blackhawks goaltender Alex Stalock making 37 saves, it would have been a lot different outcome. Richardson would take advantage of a TV timeout to try to get his team to wake up.
After the loss Richardson would slam his team's compete level:
Luke Richardson: "As well as everybody played last game, I think everybody was off other than our goaltender tonight. ... Whatever we did to prepare for this game today wasn't good enough for the NHL and we've got to be sharper."
For the most part I'd agree with Richardson, but have to give some credit to forward Taylor Raddysh for scoring 2 goals vs the Wings, he was their best skater hands down.
