Blackhawks winger Alex DeBrincat is having quite the season for Chicago this year. He is currently sitting at 72 points on the season with 33 assists and 39 goals. For a guy who is close to 40 goals on the season, he really hasn't been getting the recognition that you think a guy like him would be getting. Big part of that is probably due to the fact that even when he finds the back of the net, the Blackhawks still end up in the loss column.
But not only is DeBrincat nearing 40 goals on the season, he is nearing a career high in goals. His current career high is 41, which he set back in the 2018-2019 season. The Blackhawks have only 6 games remaining this season for him to possibly get it done. Out of the 6 remaining opponents DeBrincat has already scored against 5 of them earlier this season. The only one he hasn't is San Jose. He did however score the game-winner in the shootout of that game. With the quality of opponents left on the Blackhawks schedule, it is definitely an achievable task.
