Former Hawk, Max Domi, signed a one-year, $3 million deal with the Toronto Maple Leafs.

Max Domi is a 28-year-old winger. He signed a contract with the Blackhawks that is the exact same as the contract he just signed with Toronto last free agency. During his time with the Hawks, he quickly became a favorite and worked really well with Patrick Kane. Max had 18 points and 31 assists, tallying up to 49 points in 60 games. Domi was then traded to the Dallas Stars at the trade deadline, where he had 7 points in 20 games and played a few playoff games.

This deal will make him reunited with Jake McCabe and Sam Lafferty. McCabe and Domi are very similar, though. Both of their fathers played on the Maple Leafs at some point in their careers. McCabe will probably stay where he was last year when it comes to his role on the team, but what will Domi's role be? I'm guessing Domi will be the second or third line left wing.

I do find it interesting that Davidson didn't take a shot at Max, as he was asking for the exact same contract he got last year. My guess is Domi just wanted to play with a contender and possibly win a cup, and more contenders looked at him after the 56-point season he had last season.
