Will Patrick Kane take a year off post-surgery?
Patrick Kane underwent hip resurfacing surgery because he had been experiencing discomfort in his hip for six months leading up to his arrival in New York.
Due to the rebuild initiated by Kyle Davidson, Kane had to look for a new team and eventually ended up in New York.
However, his performance during his first 19 games with the team was not up to his usual elite standards, and it was only after the postseason that it was revealed he needed surgery.
Despite this setback, Kane's leadership skills and versatility on the ice make him an attractive asset for any team, and there will likely be interest in him from potential buyers.
It remains to be seen whether he will take a break from the game during his projected 4-6 month recovery period, and his decision on the matter will be an important one.
