Former Blackhawks Forward Ragdolls Opponent in Heavyweight Tilt
Just one month after being traded by the Chicago Blackhawks, forward Sam Lafferty found himself in the middle of a scuffle during last night's game between the Toronto Maple Leafs and Boston Bruins. Lafferty attempted to make an impact in the first period by delivering a big hit on Bruins defenseman Matt Grzelcyk, which led to teammate A.J. Greer challenging Lafferty to a fight.
Despite both players receiving 5 minutes for fighting, Greer was given an additional 2 minutes and a 10-minute misconduct penalty for instigating the altercation.
The incident occurred during a tense game between the Leafs and Bruins, with Toronto ultimately coming out on top with a 4-2 victory.
