Dylan Strome, the 2015 first-round third-overall pick in the NHL Entry Draft has had an erratic career. Once touted as one of the best players in the world, Arizona had high hopes that he would become their number one centre to build around.
That wasn't the case after three seasons with the Coyotes, he moved to the Chicago Blackhawks. The Blackhawks at the time managed to coax out much better hockey from this player, and his numbers began to climb.
In his final year with the Blackhawks, he scored 22 goals, the most in his career so far it had 48 points.
He is now with the Washington Capitals and has seen his success rise once again.
One would say that the Blackhawks should have kept this player and built around him, but with Kirby dock and Alex Debrincat moved out as well the trend seems to be moving away from these players.
I also feel that his numbers would be skewed if he was on the Blackhawks still since the team is devoid of talent especially with
Patrick Kane no longer with the organization.
It remains how well Dylan Strome will do in Washington as their team continues their retooling program.
