In regards to today's waiver action, a forward has already been snatched.
"Jesse Puljujarvi's contract with the Panthers is a two-way deal, for the remainder of the season, paying him a prorated NHL-level $775,000."

Four players placed on NHL waivers Wednesday
For the Chicago Blackhawks, this waiver action is quite important with the trade deadline approaching.
As Ryan Donato and several other players are set to depart via trade by GM Kyle Davidson, roster spots will need to be filled, so let's take a quick look at these players available:
Jakub Vrana: A former 13 overall pick in the 2014 NHL draft has 11 points in 26 games with Alex Ovechkin and the red hot Washington Capitals this season. He has 220 points in 393 career games, and could be a nice addition to the Blackhawks' void left when Ryan Donato is traded, as both are left-handed shot goal scorers.
Jordan Oesterle: A 32-year old left-handed defenseman who could benefit the Rockford IceHogs' AHL team. With the Seth Jones trade, a rookie defenseman will fill his void, leaving a roster spot open for the AHL.
The Blackhawks and other NHL teams have 24hrs to submit a waiver claim.
