NHL hands out $25k fine to Sheldon Keefe

The NHL has fined head coach Sheldon Keefe a whopping $25,000 after an outburst in a recent game against the Vegas Golden Knights on Sunday

Gary Bettman and the NHL do not take referee 'abuse' lightly, and it shows with a major punishment to the head coach of the New Jersey Devils.
The NHL has fined #NJDevils head coach Sheldon Keefe $25,000 for "unprofessional conduct directed at the officials" late in Sunday's game at Vegas.
In a statement released by the NHL, they revealed the reasoning behind this large sum of fine.
»New Jersey Devils head coach Sheldon Keefe has been fined $25,000 for unprofessional conduct directed at the officials that resulted in an unsportsmanlike conduct bench minor as well as a game misconduct at 18:12 of the third period of NHL Game No. 966 on Sunday, March 2, the National Hockey League announced today.

The fine money goes to the NHL Foundation.«

The act of Sheldon Keefe which lead to his $25,000 fine

Keefe was ejected after his star player, Jack Hughes, was injured after a mix up with a Golden Knights player.
