Former Chicago Blackhawk Set to be a Sacrifice in a Trade
As per Elliot Friedman's recent comments on the 32 Thoughts Podcast, there is a possibility of the Montreal Canadiens making moves during the off-season to secure a reliable 1st line Center.
Interestingly, it seems that Kirby Dach, formerly of the Chicago Blackhawks, may be part of the trade discussions owing to his impressive performance under Martin St. Louis during the previous season, leading to a hike in his trade value.
According to Friedman, Montreal has been interested in acquiring Dubois for the past two seasons. Dubois has expressed his desire to play for the team, making him an attractive addition.
Montreal may consider trading Dach for Dubois to strengthen their chances of contending for the championship in the long run.
However, this trade is not straightforward, and other teams may also have an interest in Dubois, although none have been named. Dach could be a valuable asset for Winnipeg's ongoing rebuilding efforts, given their recent off-season challenges.
