Gary Bettman provides an update on a disgraced coach.
Joel Quenneville's departure from the NHL was abrupt and without fanfare, sparked by the fallout from the Kyle Beach incident, which sent ripples throughout the league.
The Chicago Blackhawks resolved their legal issues with Beach outside of court, while Stan Bowman and Coach Q left the league in infamy.
Gary Bettman says Joel Quenneville and Stan Bowman have independently requested meetings with him that will be held after the Stanley Cup Final.
Neither is currently eligible to return to work with a NHL team.
Coach Q has since been working diligently to return to the league, aiming to better himself and demonstrate to Gary Bettman that he has transformed the incident.
However, it seems that Quenneville won't be returning until after the meeting, which the last time he did, it was said he needs to fulfill the NHL's requirements before being granted permission to return.
Similarly, Bowman isn't expected to make a comeback and will also be meeting with Bettman.
