HUGE Update on Jack Campbell's Contract Talks With The Toronto Maple Leafs..
The Toronto Maple Leafs backbone throughout their first round exit this season was Jack Campbell, and their offensive powered by Auston Matthews and not very many others as John Tavares, Marner & other big paid players went ghost.
The Toronto Maple Leafs can't get any better: so how do they move forward?
Well, they may have to get worse as the cap space of their «big 4» Tavares, Marner, Matthews and Nylander who were no where to be found in the playoffs are sucking up tons of the teams cap, leaving very little room to make rooms elsewhere.
Jack Campbell needing a new contract, he is current not signed anywhere for next season and the Leafs are not sure if they'll be able to compete with Campbell's camps asking price if $5,000,000 plus.
Well as of late there has been 0 contract talks between Campbell and the Leafs, today some good news hit- the Leafs and Campbell have started contract negotiations but are moving at a slow pace.
This is huge for the Leafs and fan base!
