Hawks Recall Player, Demote Two others in Roster Re-shuffle

The roster re-tooling continues for the Chicago Blackhawks. In a season filled with ups and downs, the Hawks sit second-last in the Central and with that, comes a lot of roster changes. Prospects going back and forth to see what the Hawks have in their system. Here's the Latest: Chicago has recalled goaltender Cale Morris and re-assigned defender Jakub Galvis and Goaltender Arvid Soderblom.

Cale Morris:
In a season split between the AHL and ECHL, Morris has been less than stellar with a save percentage of .898 in the ECHL this season with coupled with a 2.82 goals-against average and a 6-5-2 record in 14 games. In the AHL, Morris hasn't faired much better, albeit in a much smaller sample size. In 3 AHL games, this season he owns a 1-1-0 record with a 2.55 goals-against average and an .881 save percentage. it remains to be seen whether he'll get any NHL action.

Jakub Galvis:
The 5'11" defensemen has played just 5 games for the Blackhawks this year without registering a point. In 28 AHL games this season, Galvis 22, has one goal and 8 assists for 9 points. Of note, Galvis as mentioned is only 22 and has been commended for both his skating speed and his hockey IQ.

Arvid Soderblom:
Soderblom 22, is regarded as the Blackhawks' next goaltending prospect. he's had a stellar season in the AHL this season but has struggled at the NHL level. In 16 AHL games, this season Soderblom has a 2.62 goals-against average and a 9.26 save percentage with an 8-7-1 record. In 2 NHL games this season, Soderblom is 0-1 with an .881 save percentage and a 4.23 goals against. This is his first season in North America.
