Of course, Blackhawk fans would rather get the first-overall pick and choose Bedard, but the Columbus Blue Jackets have a higher chance of getting it being last place in the league as of right now. So, let's take a look see why Adam Fantilli is projected to go second-overall and why the Blackhawks would more than likely draft him with their pick.
Fantilli 18 currently plays in the NCAA for Michigan, he has experience at high levels playing for team Canada in the World Junior Tournament twice, once being last year for the U18 "A" team, where he would go on to get 1 goal and 5 assists through 4 games. The other time was this year where he played for the U20 team along with Connor Bedard putting up 2 goals and 3 assists in 7 games. Fantilli and the Canadians would go onto win goal this year.
With Michigan this year he currently has 16 goals 23 assist for 39 points in only 22 games this season. Fantilli has shown flashes of excitement when trying to score goals, just take a look at what he tried to do this year at the World Juniors
With that being said Fantilli is going to be an exciting player to keep an eye out for on the future and if you're a Blackhawks fan and do get the second overall pick, you can't go wrong with drafting Fantilli as he hopefully will develop into a star in the future.
